Noli Me Tangere

Not sure about the significance of this statue but we liked it. "Noli Me Tangere" sounds Italian and we think it might mean "Nothing Can Touch Me" - if anyone out there knows what it means, let us know.

  1. Hi guys!!!
Alex to the rescue!!! The translation is "Touch Me Not" (... "for I am not yet ascended to my Father...")
These are Christ's words after the Resurrection when Mary Magdalene is the first to see the Risen Christ (supposing Him to be the gardener!) The significance of Christ's words (check John Chapter 20, verse 17) are, that He is now in what is called (in esoteric Christianity) the Resurrection Body, meaning that none that have still to pass through death can defile that which is about to ascend into the realm of pure spirit - only Christ could do this (as the Sun Logos) as He made only one incarnation - and that was into Jesus of Nazareth (for the three years from Baptism in the Jordan to Golgotha). All human spirits must pass through Kamaloka (Purgatory) or the "Realm of Purifying Fire" to rid themselves of all connection to the Earth remaining in the soul, before the Spirit ascends into the Realm of the Father, beyond the Circle of the Zodiac, to which Christ immediately re ascended. This Resurrection Body needed only one Incarnation. For us, it is the accumulated essence of all the incarnations we have made, and have still to make, before becoming a body of pure light, that is, one that gives out light from itself as opposed to being illumined by light from without.
Had Mary touched Him, it would have resulted in her immediate physical death (not a form of punishment of course, but because even her advanced nature could not enter into the realm of highest light)
Lots of love and love the Blog!!!
