The lady on the right started chatting to me so I took the opportunity to find out about their hats. She told me she´d paid 500 bolivianos for it (about 45 pounds) and I asked her how she kept it on her head and whether she used a pin. No, they just perch them on the top of their heads with nothing to hold them there and I haven´t seen any of them fall off.
