Night Jungle Walk

After dinner we went on a night jungle walk in search of nocturnal animals. As darkness fell, a chorus of screams, whistles, snorts, roars, squawks, squeaks, hoots and howls erupted from the forest encircling the lodge. The noise was unforgettable and our guide could identify the source of each call : birds, monkeys, bats, frogs and insects. We saw a giant tarantula, a smoky jungle frog and these other 2 frogs that take camouflage to another level - the Pippa frog camouflages itself to look like a dead leaf on the water.
