After a whole weekend of Carnaval, I was ready to move on and caught the Sunday night bus from Oruro to Uyuni, arriving at 4am (they told me it got in at 6am!) Uyuni is a jumping-off point for trips to the salt flats, volcanoes and lakes of southwest Bolivia. There's nothing else here so I signed up for a 3-day tour leaving the following morning, ending up in San Pedro de Atacama, Chile.

Town of Uyuni
