Our group didn´t find an anaconda but instead this boa constrictor which is from the same family. Apparently they don´t bite so as long as you don´t let it wrap itself around you, it´s safe to hold one. I felt a bit sorry for the snake being disturbed from its grassy lair but couldn´t resist the chance to feel its scaly, muscular body slithering through my hands.
