The next morning we set off on a walk through the pampas and small lagoons in search of anacondas and snakes. We all put rubber wellies on as the water was quite deep, the mud was thick and the grass was waist-high. It wasn't long before the water came over the top of the boots and my feet were sloshing around in sodden socks. I just hoped there weren't horrible creepy crawlies or leeches in the water but it wasn't the time to fuss!
